Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs pork belly, sliced
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

Soy sauce, white vinegar, brown sugar, black pepper, sesame oil, and chili flakes if using should all be mixed together in a bowl

Put the pork belly slices in a shallow dish or a plastic bag that can be closed again

Make sure that all of the pork is covered with the marinade by pouring it over it

Put it in the fridge for at least two hours, or overnight for even more flavor

Warm up your grill or barbecue over medium-high heat

Take the pork out of the marinade and either put it on skewers or the grill directly

The pork belly slices should be grilled for five to seven minutes on each side, or until they are cooked all the way through and the edges are caramelized

Before serving, sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top

You can eat the Soy Vinegar BBQ Pork Belly as an appetizer or over rice

Enjoy the savory and sour tastes of this Asian-style barbecue dish!
