Chicken Bacon Crock Pot Chowder
A thick and creamy chowder made in a crock pot with lots of vegetables, bacon, and chicken. This recipe is great for a keto-friendly meal because it is low in carbs and gluten-free.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices bacon, diced
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup chopped cauliflower florets
- 2 cups chopped spinach
Instructions:
Cook bacon in a pan until it gets crispy
Take it out and set it aside
Cook the chicken until it turns brown after adding it to the pan
Put it in a crock pot
Add the onion and garlic to the same pan and cook them until they get soft
Put it in the crock pot
Heavy cream and chicken broth should be put into the crock pot
Salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and dried oregano should all be added
Add grated Parmesan cheese and mix it in
Put the lid on top and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours
Add chopped spinach and cauliflower florets in the last hour of cooking
Put crispy bacon on top and serve hot
